This piece is inspired by a few lines from a poem by David Whyte called "Self Portrait":

"... I want to know if you know
how to melt into that fierce heat of living,
falling toward the centre of your longing...."

The figure in the top of the piece represents you.

The blazing sphere of white light at the bottom of the piece are your hearts desires. They exert a huge gravitaitonal pull on us. Yet so often we resist.

So often we hold back.. And it can be agonising. Or.. worse, our desires slowly haunt us, and consume us.. like sleeping gas.

When we allow ourselves to melt into our Unique Soul Expression... we are fully alive.
